Business Administration (Emphasis Accounting)

The Business Administration, Accounting Emphasis program is designed to prepare you for careers in public, private or business accounting. The program has two main purposes – to prepare you for entry-level positions in public accounting and to prepare you to become a certified public accountant. As an accounting graduate from Bethel, you will also qualify for graduate programs in accounting.

At Bethel, you will learn much more than accounting facts and figures. You’ll be encouraged to join our Business Club, which hosts a number of activities geared toward honing interpersonal skills. You’ll also have the chance to take part in an accounting internship where you’ll help study a business from top to bottom, and you’ll take part in solving real business problems. Finally, you’ll learn how to make effective written and oral presentations –a skill that is absolutely crucial to your success in the accounting business. Most importantly, you’ll be inspired by the Bethel community to find ways to use your skills in the world to make it a better place. In today’s business world, where audit failures and scandals ruin businesses and lives every day, your Bethel degree and the value system you’ll maintain here will surely set you apart in the job market among many who simply have an accounting degree.
