Computer Information Systems
Bethel’s Computer Information Systems (CIS) major is designed to prepare you for a prosperous career in information technology and to give you the ability to make successful information systems decisions. A degree in CIS from Bethel will also prepare you for graduate school in an information technology related field.  You’ll learn about systems analysis, database management, telecommunications, web development and programming languages. You will take part in both practical and theory-based courses where you’ll study information technology from the applied, technical and management levels of practice. Furthermore, you’ll become proficient in Integrated Office, Database Management and programming software packages. As a liberal arts college, Bethel offers you not only courses that will help you be well-versed in information systems, but courses that will prepare you to be a good public speaker and writer and, ultimately, the most successful of CIS professionals. Finally, you’ll be inspired at Bethel to find ways to use your skills to make the world a better place – an exceptionally unique component that will set you apart from other graduates who simply have a CIS degree.
