Physical Education  
Bethel’s Physical Education Major will prepare you to seek licensure to teach physical education in grades kindergarten through twelve and will also prepare you for a coaching career. The Physical Education Major will help you reach goals in any number of career paths related to wellness and physical fitness.

Learn the historical background, objectives and philosophical foundations of health and physical education. You’ll also explore the nature, function and relationship of leisure, play and recreation to sport and society. Additionally, you’ll learn the fundamentals of various sports including but not limited to football, basketball, golf, tennis and baseball. In this major, you’ll also study the science of human motion, nutrition for athletes, physical fitness testing, and the principles of motor development. Finally, you’ll take classes that will teach you administrative skills as well as laws related to sports.
