Bethel’s Psychology Major is designed to help you look at human behavior in a discerning manner and to understand it within a scientific perspective. The program has been developed to prepare you for graduate work in psychology or to simply pursue other job opportunities that pertain to human behavior.
As a Psychology Major at Bethel, you’ll be introduced to all schools of psychological thought, and you’ll begin psychology course work as an entering freshman – a strategy that will give you the chance to best plan for a career in psychology. In addition to learning from professors who are knowledgeable and, more importantly, passionate about teaching in their field, you’ll get to apply what you learn in the classroom to an internship. Finally, independent study courses allow you to tailor your course work to best fit your career goals.
For years, the Bethel community has generated a unique blend of academic and life experiences that fuels the inspiration you’ll need to be successful after graduation. Not only will you be inspired to work hard and apply the knowledge you’ve learned at Bethel, but you will be inspired to look for ways that your work can positively change the world. In an extremely competitive job market, this edge will set you apart as someone with so much more than simply a Psychology degree.
