It is possible for you to enroll in your first courses, even if you have not completed the admissions process. You will then be responsible for completing all admission requirements as early as possible in your first term. No more than 12 hours taken before admission to a degree program may be applied to that degree.
If you plan to apply for financial aid or Veterans Administration benefits, you must achieve full or conditional admission to a licensure or degree program before your financial aid application can be processed. Therefore, take care of all requirements for admission as quickly as possible.
All new graduate students, both degree seeking and non-degree seeking, must:
- Complete the online Application for Graduate Studies, indicating purpose (program) for which applying, either before or during registration and mail your $25 application fee to Bethel College Office of Graduate Studies, 325 Cherry Avenue, McKenzie, TN 38201.
- Have an official copy of your Baccalaureate transcript sent to the Office of Graduate Studies. You may take care of this in advance, or you may sign a transcript request form at registration, and Bethel will mail it for you.
New students seeking the Master of Arts in Education (M.A.Ed.) or Post-Baccalaureate Licensure, or the Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) degree must also:
- Submit two letters of recommendation for admission.
- Submit scores on either the Miller Analogies Test, Graduate Record Examination, National Teacher Exam, or Praxis II (PLT).
- Have official copies of all college transcripts sent to the Office of Graduate Studies.
In addition, new students seeking the Administration and Supervision emphasis and/or Administrator Endorsement must:
- Submit a third recommendation from his/her Superintendent (Director of Schools) or other appropriate administrator.
- Submit an essay, in keeping with instructions.
- Be interviewed for admission.
- Submit a copy of a valid teaching license.
- Submit verification of at least one year of teaching experience.
In addition, new students seeking Post-Baccalaureate Licensure, with or without the M.A.T. degree, must:
- Submit an application for the Post-Baccalaureate Licensure or M.A.T. with attached $10 analysis fee.
- Submit a third letter of recommendation for admission.
- Submit an essay, handwritten and in keeping with instructions.
- Be interviewed by the Post-Baccalaureate Licensure/M.A.T. Director, leading to development of a program of studies.

Graduate tuition for 2005-2006 is $285 per credit hour ($855 per 3-hour course).
Our deferred payment plan allows you to pay as little as 40 percent of the tuition at registration and 20 percent in each of the next three months. No interest is charged for deferrals, but any previous balance must be paid in full before registering. A $30 setup charge per semester is assessed. The cost of books and the $25 new-student application fee are to be paid in full at registration.
