Dee Dee Lollar Memorial Page

Faculty & staff of the Bethel Library, along with all the Bethel community, express our sorrow at having lost Dee Dee Lollar.  She was truly a very good friend and co-worker.

She was a true servant of the Lord and will receive that inevitable reward of those who serve—who give unstintingly of themselves to some cause as Home, Church, and Bethel College. This Christian women gave devotion and service that creates the ideals of goodness, truth, character, integrity, and compassion.

She exemplifies the old axiom, "Happy is he who has found his work," meaning that service is the real key to happiness.

To her, doing the right thing for reward was not a high standard of righteousness; it is done because it is the right thing to do.

Her outstanding personality demonstrated her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, who demanded above all, that a man be genuine—deep, inner, unaffected genuineness—not merely to avoid speaking insincerely, but to be sincere as a person; not simply to avoid outward deeds of anger or impurity, but to be deep down inside to the very core of character, a person of patience and love and purity of heart.

This was our Dee Dee. Her loss will be very great for the Library and even greater for her husband, Laddie.

"But I am among you as he that serveth"
