How Do I Use The Network
Printers?
- Plug a network cable into the network jack on
the laptop. The network jack is
the larger one; the modem jack is the smaller one furthest back.
- Make sure the connection is working by looking
at the tiny lights right on top of the network jack once the cable has been
properly plugged in.
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Type this into the Address Bar:
\\bcprint
- Hit Enter.
- When prompted use the username “bethel-college\printer”
and the password “bethelcollege”. Hit
Enter.
- If the network and your laptop are working you
should then see the network printer icons.
Use the File Pull Down Menu View and select the Details option. This will give you the printer name, address and
location.
- Select the appropriate printer by double
clicking its icon. The Library printer to use is Library_HP4200.
- When the pop up window for the printer shows
up and says the printer has been initialized you are ready to use the
printer.
- In the future prepared to go through this
procedure any time you want to print.
- You can also download a file that will do
all of this automatically for you. Click here
to go to a page to download the printer batch file.
