MEDICAL RESOURCES AVAILABLE IN BETHEL COLLEGE LIBRARY
IN SUPPORT OF THE NURSING & PHYSICIAN’S ASSISTANT PROGRAMS

  

§      General Collection Books.  The Bethel Library has over 3000 books on highly specialized Medical Topics.  Search the Bethel Library Catalog Online

 

§      The Bethel Library dedicates part of its Annual Program Allocation Budget for new books and materials to support the PA Program with up to date texts and, if necessary, journals.

 

§      Access to MD Consult.  An Online Database of Clinical Medical Information.  Among other things, MD Consult consists of:  many of the world’s best medical journals and clinics, renowned reference books, hundreds of clinical practice guidelines, thousands of customizable patient education handouts & drug information guides.

 

§      Access to Online Databases.  Among others, ProQuest, InfoTrac (TEL-Tennessee Electric Library) & HW WilsonWeb have Medical content.

 

§      Library website-linked Web Resources.  The Library maintains a useful set of internet linked resources that are relevant to and support the programs offered by the school.  To view the Library’s Web Resources go to Bethel College Library Website www.bethel-college.edu/library, click on Web Resources, click on Medical Science (or Health).  These links are carefully selected by Library personnel and updated regularly.

 

§      Medical Topics File.  Against the back wall of the upstairs floor of the Library there are file cabinets containing files of information on a wide number of medical topics gathered from Academic sources for student and faculty reference.  A complete listing is located on the Library website, on the cabinets and at the front desk.
