If you find yourself struggling with life in general, please seek help immediately. Sandy Louden, our director of college orientation, tutoring and retention, is available to talk with you or to find someone who can help you through this difficult time. Call Sandy at 731-352-4095 or e-mail her at loudens@bethel-college.edu. You can also visit Sandy at her office in the Marrs-Stockton Student Center.

Other Options - LifeServices SAP

Bethel has made the services of LifeServices Student Assistance Program (SAP) conveniently available to you. This is a service paid for you by us, and it provides you with confidential, professional, short-term counseling, referral and follow-up services if you are an enrolled student at Bethel. You can receive up to six free counseling sessions, and a convenient toll-free number gives you the ability to discreetly contact the professionals at LifeServices.

In what ways can LifeServices SAP help?

The SAP can provide help in a variety of areas, including:
-Stress
-Anxiety
-Depression
-Grief and Loss
-Relationship Problems
-Alcohol and Drug-Related Problems
-Financial Pressures
-Family Problems

LifeServices also provides Christian counseling.

How to contact LifeServices SAP

Call 1-800-822-4847. In the event of an emergency, the staff of LifeServices is available 24 hours a day to respond to your call. Barring any immediate emergencies, someone from the LifeServices team will set an initial appointment for you where you will either discuss your situation, or if appropriate, you will be referred to the best source of help.


The bottom line

Our goal in the Office of Student Life is to help you deal with problems before they become unmanageable. However, we recognize that sometimes problems can become unmanageable, and we encourage you to contact either our office or LifeServices as soon as possible so you can address the issues that are making your life difficult.
