We in the Office of Student Life want to make you feel comfortable the minute you arrive at Bethel, and our four-day freshman orientation ensures you’ll get the guidance you need to feel confident about beginning your college experience. During orientation, Bethel faculty, staff and students will help you discover all about living and learning here. While our orientation program was designed to be comprehensive, we’re sure you may have additional questions, so just ask. We’ll share all we can to make you feel right at home.
Don’t worry, we don’t expect you to be a seasoned college student once you complete our four-day freshman orientation. During your first semester, you’ll continue meeting with the faculty and staff whom you first meet at freshman orientation. Each week, you’ll spend two hours in the classroom and one hour in a chapel service. The classroom time is devoted to giving you even more tips and tricks for excelling in college, and you’ll have plenty of time to ask any questions that develop as you make your way through your first few months of school.
Sometimes you need an immediate answer to a question and you simply can’t wait until your next freshman orientation class. Sandy Louden, our director of college orientation, tutoring and retention, is available to answer questions you have. Call Sandy at 731-352-4095 or e-mail her at
loudens@bethel-college.edu. You can even visit Sandy in her office in the Marrs-Stockton Student Center.
